Erika Kasuga is an artist born in New York in 2005. She has won numerous awards for her artwork, including two coveted national gold medals and five national silver awards in the Scholastic Art and Writing Competition, a renowned stepping stone for young artists including young Andy Warhol. In recognition of her achievement, she was awarded at Carnegie Hall in New York City during the summer of 2023. Two of her works were showcased in the 2023 "Fresh Perspectives" exhibition at the Smithsonian Institution's Morris Museum in the United States. Notably, her work was used as the main promotional image for the museum's official homepage and poster. In addition, she was selected as the only Japanese finalist out of 4000 applicants and received a Star Award in the UNIQLO x UNHCR “Youth With Refugees Art Contest 2023.” She is currently in London studying Graphic Design at University Of The Arts London.
